Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8. The holiday was originally founded in 1909 with the goal of promoting peace and women’s rights, and it has since expanded to include a focus on equality for all genders.
It’s a day to honour women’s accomplishments and achievements and create a world where everyone is treated equally. It’s also a time to celebrate the contributions of women throughout history—and the women who will continue to shape the future.
This year’s theme is #BalanceforBetter, and it’s all about building a gender-balanced world. Gender balance is essential to economies, communities, and societies—we’re talking everything from improved customer service to increased productivity to higher retention. What’s more, studies show that when women are empowered, they lift up other women with them. More opportunities for women means more opportunities for everyone!
The Pavilions Rome, The First Arte, and The Pavilions Phuket are celebrating this auspicious occasion with exciting events at both locations.
