Tumpek Wayang is a Balinese Hindu ceremonial day held every 210 days to honor Wayang Kulit (shadow puppetry), creativity, and artistic tools like gamelan instruments. Celebrated across Bali, especially in cultural hubs like Ubud and Sukawati, the day features offerings, blessings, and Wayang Kulit performances, reflecting the sacred connection between art, tradition, and spirituality in Balinese culture.
Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2026

Saraswati Day is dedicated to Dewi Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. The celebration involves ceremonies where offerings are made to books as a gesture of gratitude for knowledge. The following morning, it is common to see people heading to the beach to for a purification ceremony known as ‘melukat.’
Purnama (Full Moon)

During Purnama, the monthly holy day of the full moon, Balinese Hindus present ceremonial offerings in accordance with their local village traditions. Many temples also hold ceremonies or piodalan on this day, as it is considered an auspicious time for starting new ventures.
