Babi Guling
One of the island’s most famous delicacies, Bali’s take on spit-roasted pig, is stuffed with an aromatic spice mix known as ‘base genep’ and slow-roasted on an open fire until the skin is crispy and the meat tender.

Originally prepared as a ceremonial offering to the Balinese Hindu gods, today it is a firm favorite for locals and visitors alike, served in warungs dedicated to this crackling specialty.

Just around the corner: Babi Guling Sanur

Must try: Warung Babi Guling Pak Dobiel, Nusa Dua

Traditional Balinese Cooking Class

Our Chef invites you to experience hands-on the exotic ingredients and culinary heritage of the Island of the Gods, using traditional preparation methods and techniques for a true Balinese feast.

Enchanted South
Discover the magic of the Bukit peninsula, renowned for being one of the world’s top surfing destinations, with a visit to one of Bali’s most iconic temples. Soaring on a cliff high above the southern coastline, Uluwatu faces straight out to the Indian Ocean with views to behold.

For a one-of-a-kind cultural performance, head to the open amphitheatre next to the temple to enjoy a traditional kecak, also known as fire dance, against the dramatic sunset backdrop.

End the evening with a feet-in-the-sand Seafood BBQ on Jimbaran beach. The fishermen’s catch of the day is grilled local style on coconut husks and served against the beautiful seashore backdrop.

Holy Hike of the East
Enjoy a day of cultural and culinary discovery in the highlands of Eastern Bali.

Explore Pura Luhur Lempuyang, a temple complex with a total of seven sanctuaries and over 1,500 steps leading to the top of the holy mountain. At the lowest temple, visitors are greeted by the Gates of Heaven; looking through the gate on a clear day reveals Mount Agung framed within its sides, with spectacular sunset views at dusk.

After your hike, it’s time to enjoy a Megibung lunch at Puri Karangasem, home to the Balinese royal family. This traditional communal feast, with a selection of shared dishes served on banana leaf, was originally reserved for ceremonies and special occasions.
