HONG KONG FEBRUARY 2020: The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts celebrates 20 year’s with an extensive programme of refurbishment at The Pavilions Bali, by introducing a stylish new look while remaining true to the resort’s local heritage. The contemporary design is set to include influences from local Hindu traditions.
“The hotel and the hotel group as a whole celebrate 20 years in 2020, so this is the perfect time to refresh and re-energise the property,” said Simona Chimenti, General Manager at The Pavilions Bali.
The refreshed look will be heavily focussed on function, bringing the hotel up to and beyond modern standards of comfort, style and convenience. Guests can expect to see a wide variety of contrasting materials and textures used in the new décor. However, that does not mean that the hotel’s commitment to sustaining local traditions and industries will be lessened as each and every furnishing will be tailor-made and hand-crafted exclusively for The Pavilions Bali, using natural, locally sourced hardwoods, fibres and fabrics.
“We’re aiming for a look that shows off Bali’s unique traditions and heritage, but with a fresh, contemporary flair, we call it heaven on earth” continued Ms Chimenti. Nowhere is this expected to be better displayed than in the choice of furniture and artworks to adorn the rooms and shared spaces, which will include modern approaches to traditional designs. The colour palette, too, will combine Bohemian inspirations and traditional patterns with sea hues and earthy tones.
The end result will emphasis the resort’s iconic harmony with its surroundings. Located in the charming fishing village of Sanur, on the east coast of Bali, The Pavilions Bali is close to the sea and provides a peaceful tropical garden oasis in the heart of Sanur where indoor and outdoor living spaces seamlessly merge.
An excellent opportunity to check out the resort’s refreshed look is coming up soon, in the form of one of the most significant events in the Balinese calendar – the Nyepi Festival. Otherwise known as the ‘Day of Silence’, and one of the most important celebrations on the Hindu calendar, the Hindu celebration sees the entire island shut down as its people spend the whole day in complete silence, fasting, meditation and contemplation. It is a day reserved for self-reflection, an opportunity to honey new beginning’s and preserve the harmony against people, nature and God.The Pavilions Bali has a special Nyepi Festival offer, which includes a complimentary upgrade to a private pool villa, a 60-minute couples’ massage, a Balinese Megibung dinner for two, a welcome bath & foot massage, traditional arts and crafts activities and more. In brief, it allows guests to get the full flavour of Balinese life at this special time of the year and in luxurious surroundings.
