Naka Market

Phuket's Weekend Night Market, also known as Naka Market, is a fascinating mix of apparel and fashion accessories, electronics, souvenirs, live animals and local street food displayed in a myriad of stalls. Locals and tourists love the buzzing atmosphere and you are sure to find great souvenirs for friends and family back home. Hunt for your unique Thai keepsake, try on some ethnic jewellery and enjoy browsing the endless selection of knick-knacks.

If all the shopping is starting to wear you out, stop to sample some traditional delicacies including local fishcakes, savoury skewers, fresh fruits and a plethora of exotic snacks – including fried insects!
Opening Hours: Every Saturday & Sunday from 4pm till 9pm.
Distance from The Pavilions Phuket: 30 minutes drive.

Lard Yai Market

The latest addition to the island's vibrant market scene is Lard Yai, 'big market' in southern Thai dialect. This street market, hosted on Thalang Road, right in the middle of the historical Sino-Portuguese district of the Old Town, pays homage Phuket and its rich history.

Locals and tourists mingle along the stretch of stalls selling handicrafts and one of a kind gifts, taking the opportunity to try culinary delicacies from the south of Thailand while enjoying impromptu street performances.

In an effort to revive their vintage splendour, the restored townhouse facades have been enhanced by the addition of coloured lighting, adding to the festive atmosphere after dark.

Opening Hours: Every Sunday from 4pm till 10pm.
Distance from The Pavilions Phuket: 30 minutes drive.

Indy Market

This compact yet lively market opens twice a week along Limelight Avenue, just off Dibuk Road in Phuket Town. Know in Thai as “laadploykong” (a market to let go of your goods), it is a popular meeting point for young locals who come to enjoy the creative mix of vendors, live performances and local snacks.

Part flea market, part quirky apparel and accessories, you can have an express manicure or take home a customized memento. Prices here stand in sharp contrast to the creativity of the goods for sale.

Opening Hours: Every Thursday and Friday from 4pm till 10pm.
Distance from The Pavilions Phuket: 30 minutes drive.
