Phuket, Thailand is one of the greatest places to dive and explore vibrant seascapes and marine life. Divers can discover colourful nudibranchs, to beautiful marine life such as sea turtles in the Andaman Sea, in the surrounding waters of Phuket. During high season, these waters offer excellent visibility, allowing divers to experience picturesque coral garden and reefs; The Pavilions Phuket has put together a curated list of the 'best diving sites in Phuket'.

Anemone Reef

Anemone Reef itself is a large limestone pinnacle that grows 30 meters up from the seafloor to just beneath the surface. It is a well-known shipping hazard and is situated less than a mile from the Shark Point. It is famous for its sea anemones that create an illusion of living rock. You can dive this location from Phuket or Koh Phi Phi and features giant moray eels, turtles, reef sharks, lionfish, clownfish and the yellow tiger-tail seahorse to name a few.

King Cruiser Dive Site

King Cruiser Dive Site, the 85-meter car ferry wreck from 1997, creates a fascinating diving exploration. It is situated at the Anemone Reef, close to Phi-Phi Islands. It is in a perfect depth, between 12 and 30 meters, making it a popular location for starting divers.

Koh Dok Mai

Koh Dok Mai is considered one of the best wall dives in the area. It is a small island located between Phuket and the Shark Point, topped with jungle. It is a massive livestock rock, sharply rising out of the sea. Koh Doc Mai is famous for its variety of reef fish and Moray Eels.

Shark Point

Shark Point is a part of a Marine Sanctuary, and it is named after the docile Leopard Sharks that often rest on the seafloor around this area. There are also colourful soft corals and sea fans decorating the limestone pinnacle.

Racha Noi

Racha Noi is a relatively isolated island and is popular among experienced divers, as the currents are frequently stronger. It is one of the best places to see manta rays, whale sharks, reef sharks and stingrays. On the west side, there is a wooden ship-wreck full of vibrant reef fish.
