Tailor made

tours

Let our experienced guest experience team arrange your perfect tailor made tour to discover Bali’s hidden secrets.

The Spiritual West

Tanah Lot (5 hours) Your discovery starts with a visit to Taman Ayun, in the village of Mengwi. True to its name, the “Garden Temple” boasts traditional architectural features, set in a vast and beautifully manicured landscape with water features, lotus flowers and fish ponds. Continue your trip West to Tanah Lot, one of Bali’s most recognizable icons. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of a rock amidst constantly crashing waves, this is one of Bali’s most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and infinite vistas.

The Enchanted South

Uluwatu Sunset & Kecap dance (5 - 7 hours) Discover the magic of the Bukit peninsula, renown for being one of the world’s top surfing destinations, with a visit to one of Bali’s most iconic temples. Soaring on a cliff high above the southern coastline, Uluwatu faces straight out to the Indian Ocean with views to behold. For a one of a kind cultural performance, head to the open amphitheater next to the temple to enjoy a traditional kecak, also known as fire dance, against the dramatic sunset backdrop. End the evening with a “feet in the sand” Seafood BBQ on Jimbaran beach.

The Scenic West

Batu Karu (6 hours) This is the ultimate trip for all nature lovers. Start your day discovering the Jatiluwih rice terraces, one of the island’s must-see panoramas and a UNESCO world heritage site. The breathtaking scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batu Karu makes for wonderful photo opportunities and the chance to witness the Subak, Bali’s traditional irrigation system. Continue your trip to the sacred site of Batu Karu, located at an altitude of over 2,000 m above sea level and surrounded by century old natural forest. After all the exploration it’s time to refresh at one of the panoramic restaurants before starting your journey back through the local town of Tabanan.

The Creative Heart

Ubud (6 - 8 hours) This is the perfect tour for all those that want to mix culture, nature and a healthy dose of retail therapy! Your journey takes you through the artsy centers of Celuk (jewelry), Mas (wood carving) and Batubulan (stone carving), before reaching the cultural heart of the island. The idyllic village of Ubud offers something for every taste: tropical wildlife at the Sacred Monkey Forrest, enchanting history at the Royal Palace, lively trading at its traditional market and a myriad of galleries and boutiques selling the best of Balinese arts & crafts. To complete your day visit the iconic Tegallalang rice terraces or plan a stop at the “secret village” on your way back.

The Northern Lakes

Bedugul (8 hours) Discover Bali’s natural beauty as you cross the island to reach the lake district of Bedugul. You can stop at Taman Ayung, the “Garden Temple”, before continuing your way to the traditional fresh market of Candi Kuning, with its wealth of tropical fruits, flowers and spices. Continue to the Ulun Danu Beratan temple, dedicated to the goddess of water Dewi Danu. The reflective surface of the surrounding lake creates a unique floating impression, while the Bedugul mountain range provides for a scenic backdrop. The adventurous at heart should not miss a visit to the popular twin waterfalls of Gitgit, the perfect way to end a day of exploration.

The Wild East

Goa Lawah & Tirta Gangga (8 hours) Start your tour with a visit to the mystic cave temple of Goa Lawah, populated by thousands of bats. Continue your tour to Tenganan Village, home to Bali’s indigenous people. The Bali Aga still follow a traditional rural lifestyle, unchanged by the passing of time, and cherish their unique traditions and heritage. Enjoy lunch in the tranquil coastal town of Candidasa, before making your way to the water gardens of Tirta Gangga. The royal palace is a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by lush gardens filled with carvings and statues. Your way back to The Pavilions will take you through traditional snake fruit plantations and the terraced hills of the Sidemen valley.

The Northern Highlands

Kintamani (8 hours) Start your day with a visit to Batuan village, to witness traditional Balinese life, untouched by the passing of time. Continue to Kintamani and enjoy the spectacular views of the crater lake and Mount Batur volcano, the sacred mountain. Our Butler will be happy to recommend the perfect local restaurant to enjoy the panoramic views over lunch. On your way back to Sanur, you’ll pass through the quaint town of Bangli and stop to visit Kehen temple, immersed in lush tropical forest and famed for its intricate stone carvings.
