You can spend your time relaxing on the white sand beaches, snorkel in the crystal clear waters or participate in the many water sports available. For the adventurous ones, go on a scenic cliffside hike on rugged Penida, explore the mangrove forest or rent a scooter for a two-wheel tour of the rocky roads of sister islands Lembongan and Ceningan.
Sanur Town
Sanur is a seaside town in the southeast of the island of Bali. Its long stretch of beach offers shallow and protected waters, perfect for a relaxing swim and for those wishing to try their hand at surfing on the nearby break. Colorful jukung fishing boats rest on the sand, backed by a 5 km long beach walk, ideal for a sunrise run or a late afternoon stroll. The landmark Pura Blanjong temple is built entirely from coral and has inscriptions dating back to the 10th century. The leafy main street Jalan Danau Tamblingan is lined with art galleries, colourful boutiques and lively open air bars and restaurants.
